Description:
In this project, I work as a contracted games designer for Antique Games, working as a 3D environmental artist and QA team member, communicating with all members of the team to produce a 3D tactical strategy game shipped to Steam and publicly presented at GameX.
Summary of contributions
Designed, developed and prototyped various 3D destructible/collapsible assets within Autodesk 3DS Max.
Worked with Adobe Substance Painter to generate high-to-low-poly backing to add detail to models while keeping models low-poly for increased performance and model topology optimisation.
Textured 3D Models using Adobe Substance Painter, primarily using modified base colour maps so that the shaders work well with models’ material maps.
Worked with Unity Packages such as ProBuilder to generate a prototype shape for models, taken into 3DS Max and then developed into full shape models that fit the existing block-out of the environment.
Worked as a quality assurance play tester for the game, reporting bugs and working with the programming department to replicate issues so they can be appropriately fixed.
Game Description:
Ants: Leaf-Al Warfare is a 2D turn-based strategy game where you must command your army of Ants, headed by a Queen, against up to three other foes, being wary of the various environmental hazards. Putting your tactical prowess to good use is the key to victory. War has never been so Leaf-al.

3D Model Images
3D Models worked on throughout the project, including wireframe shots. The assets were created by me in response to weekly briefs as a contractor on the team. Each model had its own unique challenge and the way in which it was produced.
These models utilise PRB material pipelines for Unity to effectively work with the Universal pipeline renderer and function with the shader systems established for the game’s 3D assets. Assets were modelled in Autodesk 3ds Max and textured in Adobe Substance Painter, with shaders produced by the programming team in Unity.
Ants: Leaf-al Warfare is now LIVE on Steam
As of July 1st, Ants: Leaf-al Warfare is live on Steam. Having been a part of its art and design team, I am very proud to have this title shipped to market. Please check out the Steam page below.
Please note that some of the bugs contained within the final release are due to a sudden drop in development, causing the final product to be released as it stood during the development timeline.

As of 02/08/2025 these are the current statistics of ants on steam, as my first market release and one with witch I was entrusted to produce quality game assets for I could not be happier with the ongoing results.
